During October and November, U.S. Century Bank has teamed up with the Miami Lakes Bar Association to provide a series of educational breakfasts, luncheons and networking events.
The series kicked off on October 17 with a judicial update by Judge Monica Gordo of the 11th Judicial Circuit. U.S. Century Bank’s CEO Carlos Davila gave the keynote address and expressed the bank’s commitment to support Miami Lakes’ growing community of attorneys. Also present were Judge William Altfield, and Miami Lakes Town Attorney Raul Gastesi Jr.
The breakfast was followed by a networking event at U.S. Century’s Miami Lakes branch for law students and attorneys. Students from local law schools were able to meet with Miami Lakes’ attorneys who have pledged to serve as mentors during the 2014-2015 school year.
Miami Lakes Bar vice president Haydee Sera expressed the importance of providing guidance to law students outside of the classroom.
