Facebook page created for Royal Oaks residents' Crime Watch

Local resident Juan-Carlos Fernandez, a Keyes Company Realtor and member of the Royal Oaks Homeowners Association, has recently launched a Facebook page titled “Royal Oaks Crime Watch” to make the community a safer place for all.

“I launched the page because I belong to a similar page in Palm Springs North, PSN Crime Watch, and I feel that it really does help,” said Fernandez. “I have seen users communicate while something has been occurring and actually able to apprehend a subject because of the real-time communication.”

Information posted on the page is open to all who are members of the page and community. This courtesy will also extend into areas of Palm Spring North due to the close proximity between the communities. Any information posted deemed relevant and important will be passed along to police officials. Fernandez will also periodically post helpful hints on safety such as properly securing a home before leaving on vacation.

To be a part of the online community, “like” the Royal Oaks Crime Watch page on Facebook.
