Brian Rodriguez and Luis Salazar, both seniors at Hialeah Miami Lakes Senior High School (HML), won the first annual Superintendent’s Student Innovation Challenge in the category of Health. On May 4, Mater Lakes Academy (MLA) had 22 seniors graduate from Miami Dade College (MDC). They graduated with their Associate of Arts Degree as a senior in high school. Mater Lakes celebrates Portuguese Honor Society

Mater Lakes Academy’s Portuguese teacher and club sponsor Ana Paula Garcia held her first induction ceremony for the Portuguese Honor Societyon April 30. There was a total of 10 students inducted and all of them will be walking graduation with a yellow and green cord as they represent this accomplishment.
