Spanish Lake Elementary (SLE) has opened a MakerSpace for students in the fifth grade level. A MakerSpace is an area that starts with inquiry. HML students earn a high passing rate in AP testing

  A total of 524 students participated in Advanced Placement (AP) testing in May 2018 at Hialeah Miami Lakes Senior High School (HML) including 829 tests in over 15 elective and core subjects.   Miami Lakes K-8 Center's (MLK8) PTSA (Parent Teacher Student Association) has supplied 83 teachers in their school with year-round school supplies through the initiative Teachers Closet.
