Miami Lakes Education Advisory Board will once again offer free SAT Prep classes for students entering their junior and senior year of high school. Bob Graham Education Center fifth-grader Flavia Nuñez earned first place in the writing component for this year’s Fairchild Challenge. Nuñez wrote a story on a seed. The Fairchild Challenge is a competition that Fairchild Botanical Gardens sponsors every year with participation from more than 200 schools. It is a multidisciplinary competition with an emphasis on environmental sciences.

  Kandis Terry, Katie Camero, and Katherine Merino are long time friends, Miami Lakes residents, and graduating dancers at Intensity Dancer’s Studio in Miami Lakes. All three girls have been attending dance class since second grade, five to six times a week until their graduation this June.
