The Pace Spartans football team is off to a great start. They kicked off the season with a defeat against Hialeah-Miami Lakes Trojans 40-0 and then triumphed over Ronald Reagan High on August 29 with a 31-12 win. Miami Lakes Educational Center (MLEC) received a charitable donation from Southern Wine and Spirits of Florida on August 15. Southern Wine and Spirits of Florida representatives Maria Gomez and Lisa Goldberg visited the school the morning the donations were dropped off.
