     The Miami Lakes K-8 Center’s Knight Owls competed in their first chess tournament of the school year open to students from public and private schools in Miami-Dade County, put on by the 64 Squares Foundation at the Divine Savior Academy in Doral on Oct. 16. St. Thomas University renews Armstrong's contract

MLK-8 Center places 3rd in robotics competition
