Public Information session on Freebee transportation services set for January 11

Government Wednesday, January 3, 2018

The Town of Miami Lakes will host a public information meeting at 6 p.m. on Thursday, January 11, at Town Hall, 6601 Main Street, to introduce the new transportation services provided by Freebee ridesharing. With transportation being a major concern for many Miami Lakes residents, Freebee is a partnership being launched to provide residents free rides around town.

All the user has to do is download the app at www.ridefreebee.com, request a ride through the app, select a destination for pickup, and confirm the pickup. Freebee will become available to residents and visitors on Monday, January 22.

It’s a fun, green and free travel option currently available ini Miami’s most popular neighborhoods, including Miami Beach. The “Freebee” cars are eco-friendly and electric.

The meeting will start at approximately 6 PM and will end at 7:30 PM. For more information, visit www.ridefreebee.com or contact Michelle Gonzalez at gonzalezm@miamilakes-fl.gov.
