Middle and high school students are invited to join “The Spot” Youth Center for a field trip to Zoo Miami from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, January 20.
Zoo Miami, also known as The Miami-Dade Zoological Park and Gardens, is the largest and oldest zoological garden in Florida and the only sub-tropical zoo in the continental United States.
South Florida’s unique climate allows the zoo to keep a wide variety of animals from Asia, Australia and Africa, representing a broad mix of species that is unlike any other zoo in the country.
Registration fee for the field trip is $10 and is required by Monday, January 15, by contacting Chris Hovde via email at thespot@miamilakes-fl.gov, or by calling 305-819-7768.
