Rolando and Julia Ruiz celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on April 15. The Miami Lakes pair fell in love and were married in Santa Clara, Cuba in 1956. They have two daughters, Nancy and Myriam, three grandchildren, Jason, Anthony and Natalie, and two great grandchildren, Sierra and Nathaniel (pictured). Barbara Goleman student Carlos Aguila, class of 2016, was awarded the Ronald A. Hammond Scholarship, a prestigious and highly selective full four-year tuition scholarship. Aguila will be attending the University of Miami. 

MLEC Robotics team named champs of Digicon '16
