For the first time in school history, Mater Academy High’s girl’s basketball team won the District Championship by defeating their arch rivals, Doral’s Ronald Reagan High, in a back and forth game that saw the Lady Lions come out on top. Mater Academy advanced to the regional quarterfinal, where they lost to Broward’s Nova.
