Michelle Romero, 19, a lifelong Miami Lakes resident and former Miami Lakes Educational Center student, passed away on Monday, April 13, following surgical complications as a result of her autoimmune disorder, Lupus. The Bob Graham Education Center (BGEC) cheerleaders participated in the Cheerleaders of America (COA) Ultimate International Championship held in Orlando on April 3-4.
