Perla Tabares Hantman of Miami Lakes, who served 26 years on the Miami-Dade County School Board, died March 4. She was 88 and was surrounded by her family when she passed away at the University of Miami Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, her son Michael Hantman said.
