Miami Lakes Neighborhood Improvement Committee will host the first Community Bike Ride of the New Year on Saturday, January 19.
Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. for the 5.5-mile family-friendly loop with the ride starting at 9 a.m. from Miami Lakes Youth Center, 6075 Miami Lakes Drive East.

Mater Lakes Academy’s wrestling team took home first place to capture the John Lyzott Invitational at MacArthur High School. Danny Martinez, Nick Luna, Omar Armengol, David Alvarez, and Ethan Vergara all won individual titles, while Nestor Nunez claimed 2nd place, Nick Munoz finished 4th, and Jorge Rodriguez and Rafael Alvarez finished 5th.
