Shula’s Athletic Club hosted “Glo For The Cure” in October to raise funds for the Women’s Breast & Heart Initiative through fitness classes held under black lights. Participants were encouraged to wear white or neon colors, victims and survivors of cancers, and to share in the hashtag #GLOForTheCure. Every year the Cub Scouts of northwest Miami-Dade compete in a generations-old tradition, the Pinewood Derby.
