Participants competed in events including shot put, standing broad jump, archery, 100 meter and 400 meter races, and others. Miami Lakes K-8 Center's Salsa team has had the opportunity to perform at Walt Disney World's Downtown Disney, however for the school's chorus group, this was a premiere performance. Teacher Sara Cino led her students throughout their performance which quickly had the audience singing along. The Miami Lakes K-8 Center chorus group was invited back by Disney to perform next year.
