Gov. Scott awards Medals of Heroism

  Members of the Town Council attended a ceremony on April 28 where Florida Governor Rick Scott recognized several officers from Miami-Dade County and the City of Miami with Medals of Heroism. Miami Lakes Officer Edwin Ramos was honored for his participation in rescuing an unconscious man from a crashed vehicle.   Town of Miami Lakes announced it will kickoff its new E-Reader Lending Program with a workshop at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 27, at Miami Lakes Branch Library, 6699 Windmill Gate Road.
