Town salutes vets during 34th parade

  Thousands waved American flags and cheered as the Town of Miami Lakes honored veterans at the 34th annual Miami Lakes Veterans Day Parade on November 10. The parade was followed by a ceremony honoring the parade’s Grand Marshall, Major Charles James (above). Participants included marching bands from local high schools, JROTC’s, local sports clubs, a variety of scouting units and many more.
  Jamburrito, an evening of theatre with a performance by “white rose miami” is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Sunday, December 8, at the Main Street Playhouse, 6766 Main Street, in Miami Lakes. A reception precedes the show at 6 p.m. Tickets are $50 per person with proceeds benefiting the South Florida Council, Boy Scouts of America.
