Miami Lakes Councilmember Nelson Rodriguez, a board member of the Miami-Dade League of Cities, presented the Miami Lakes K-8 Center with Thanksgiving  baskets. As part of the League’s 7th annual Turkey Drive, the baskets include a turkey along with the ingredients to create a traditional Thanksgiving meal.

  On November 7, Miami Lakes resident, retired Air Force Senior Airman and Coral Gables Firefighter, Carlos Martinez was honored by Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart.
