Aidan Schwinghammer, 16, a sophomore at Barbara Goleman Senior High School, served as a page in the Florida Senate during the last session.
Pages lead the Pledge of Allegiance, deliver messages and correspondence to legislators and participate in mock debates about bills.
Aidan was sponsored by Fla. Sen. Bryan Avila, R-Miami Springs. Aidan previously served as a page and a messenger in the Florida House of Representatives.
In addition to volunteering in Tallahassee and learning about how government works, Aidan is a Boy Scout, Sea Scout and a member of the National Honor Society, according to his father Sean Schwinghammer, who shared the photo of Aidan that was taken while he was working on the senate floor.
