Miami Lakers may see a familiar face on Amazon Prime Video if they watch “Angels’ Fire,” which stars Alain Teutelo.

“Angels’ Fire” is a two-part movie in Spanish about children who witness the murders of their parents.

As adults, they seek to avenge their losses and end up entangled in the world of drug cartels, according to IMDB.

Teutelo, 51, stars in the film and was executive producer. He has enjoyed show business success and lives in the Royal Oaks community in town, rather than in Hollywood.

He began his career with acting roles on stages throughout Miami-Dade County. He also starred in Spanish soap operas, or telenovelas.

“I became professional in 1995, when I had my first role in a very well-known soap opera, “Morelia,”” Teutelo said.

Teutelo’s family came to the United States from Cuba when he was seven. He began performing in school when he was a young boy.

As an adult,  Teutelo studied acting at Miami Dade College with Teresa Maria Rojas, a well-known instructor in the Spanish-language theater community.

“I went to Teatro Prometeo,” Teutelo said of the conservatory where he trained.

In addition to “Morelia,” he appeared on TV in “Las dos Caras de Ana” [“Two faces of Ana”] and “Acorralada” [“Trapped”].

He also wrote and acted in plays.

“I have done a little bit over 20 [stage productions], all here in Miami, with the exception of one in Sarasota,” Teutelo said.

“The legendary Teatro Martí, Teatro Las Mascaras (The Masks Theater), Teatro Bellas Artes (Theater of Fine Arts) …you name it I’ve done something there,” Teutelo said of his work at other performing arts houses.

He plans to steer his career toward directing.

“I’m very proud to say that the very first project [“Angels’ Fire,”] I worked on as an executive director, that was picked up by Amazon Prime to stream through,” Teutelo said.

He is working on filming “Angels’ Fire 2,” and he has another project in production.

“I’m going to be directing the next feature film [“Alta Sociedad” or “High Society”], which I’m really excited about,” Teutelo said.

That film is based on a play he wrote which he said ran for two years in a Miami theater.

“It’s going to be filmed early next year, as well as “Angels’ Fire 2”,” Teutelo said.

When he’s not on set filming and directing, Teutelo enjoys going to Cancun Grill to start his weekends, and spending time with his family which includes two cats and two dogs.

Teutelo says he loves living in Miami Lakes.

“When I go to my home, I feel I am home among neighbors and family,” Teutelo said. “It’s a beautiful community.”
