On November 10, Brown Mackie College Miami donated 18 boxes of nonperishables for the Miami Lakes Veterans Committee’s care package collection which allowed the committee to complete its mission to send packages overseas to troops in time for the holiday season.
“Special thanks to Brown Mackie College for thinking of our men and women in the armed forces by preparing and sending these care packages. “I’m certain when they receive these packages, they will be glad to know that they have so much support and love back home,” said Mayor Michael Pizzi.
The Veterans Committee also thanked Esther Colon, adjunct professor at Brown Mackie College Miami, as well as the faculty, staff, an alumni who assisted in making the care package collection drive a success.
