     The Miami-Dade County Library branch in Miami Lakes is offering virtual and in-person programs.  Space is limited and you must sign up in advance to receive a link via email.

     If a class is filled, call the branch at 305-822-6520 and ask to join a waiting list.

Talking is Teaching: Talk, Read, Sing for Toddlers en dos idiomas 

In person.  Tues., Feb. 22, March 1, and ; 11:30 a.m. – noon.

Bilingual stories, songs and activities. Masks are required. 

Ages 18 months - 3.

Take and Make Crafts

Borrow a book, pick up a kit and get crafty at home.

Mon., Feb. 28, 9:30 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.

Ages 3 – 9.

Scratch Coding Basics

Online. Mon., Feb. 28, 4:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Learn to program and make your own interactive games, animation, art and stories using the online program Scratch.

Ages 8 – 12.

DJ Basics for Beginners

Tue., March 1, 4:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Learn to cue, beat match and mix. Find tracks to practice with on Freegal, a free music service available with a library card. 

Ages 12 – 18. 

REV + FLOW Functional Fitness 

Thurs., March 3

11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Strengthen and sculpt your muscles with the REV+FLOW fitness method, work on developing strength and balance at home with low impact exercises during this six week series for all fitness levels. Led by a certified fitness instructor. 

STEM Saturday 

Sat., March 5 10:30 a.m. - noon

Enjoy a hands-on activity with FIU undergraduate and medical students. Made possible by the Green Family Foundation, Neighborhood Health Education Learning Program.
