Councilmember Frank Mingo opens campaign for seat in Florida House 2018

Miami Lakes Councilmember Frank Mingo has announced he’s running for the Florida House of Representatives in 2018, seeking to replace Manny Diaz Jr., who will be termed out in two years.
District 103 represents Miami Lakes, Hialeah, Hialeah Gardens, Medley and Miami Springs.

Mingo, who was first elected to the Miami Lakes Town Council during a special election in 2013 and won reelection the following year, has lived in Miami Lakes for 30 years. 

The 53 year-old has served on the Miami Lakes Economic Development Committee, Miami Lakes Police Department Review committee and as president of the Silvercrest North Homeowners Association. He has also sponsored the Miami Lakes Veterans Day Parade. Mingo is a supply chain manager for Miami Lakes based Oliva Cigar Company.
