County, town host elections workshop for seniors

The Town of Miami Lakes and its Elderly Affairs Committee presented an information session about voting at town hall on Aug. 8. Staff from the Miami-Dade County Supervisor of Elections Office gave away hats and bags to promote voting, and provided information about deadlines to register to vote, how to vote-by-mail and how to submit a ballot, as well as file ballots for immediate family members.

Staff from the Supervisor of Elections Office were scheduled to be at the senior bingo luncheon at 11 a.m. on Aug. 14 at Roberto Alonso Community Center.
