First building in 6600 Main project is now open

The Graham Companies announced that the first phase of its new multi-building residential complex in Town Center, 6600 Main, has been completed and began accepting new residents in early February.
A designated smoke free community, the five-story structure includes 30 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom units; 10 1-bedroom with 1 and 1.5 bathroom units with dens, 15 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom units and five remarkable corner units with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. Rental rates for 1-bedroom units begin at $1,795 and $2,295 for 2-bedroom units.
The apartments, located on the eastern side of the new Town Center Parking Garage, allow residents to gain direct access from their cars to the floors on which they live.
The building is directly across from the Town of Miami Lakes Government Center Building and is within walking distance to all of the Main Street amenities including shopping, restaurants and movie theaters.
Residences in the first building include ash-colored wood-look laminate floors, choice of two kitchen cabinet colors, granite countertops, Stainless Steel appliances, covered patios, controlled access, air-conditioned resident storage units, indoor bike storage room, 11-foot high ceilings on the first floor and 10-foot ceilings on the other floors.
The project was designed by Roger Fry and Associates Architects and constructed by Current Builders. Additional buildings in the project include 19 townhomes, 10 of which will be completed by June 1, and the other nine in October. The three-level units feature 3 bedrooms and 3 1/2 bathrooms, and a 2-car garage starting at $3,500.
A seven-story building, which includes retail establishments on the first floor, and 282 residential units, is also under construction. The units will range from 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, to 1 bedroom, 1 1/2 bathrooms with den, to 2 bedrooms, 2 baths. Rental rates have not been announced at this time. Similar to the 6600 Main first building, all of the 282 residential units will have direct access to their respective floors at an attached parking garage.
In the final building, amenities for all 6600 Main residents will include a state-of-the art Fitness Center featuring a yoga room, a conference center, a club room with a coffee bar, and lounge, along with a community pool and a pet safe exercise area. Cats and dogs are welcome within breed and weight guidelines.
