Free bus service available for Tax Assistance Program (VITA)

Miami Lakes Elderly Affairs Committee is sponsoring free bus transportation to St. Thomas University for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA).

VITA is a partnership between the Internal Revenue Service and St. Thomas University School of Law where student volunteers have been providing free income tax preparation assistant to low-income, elderly, disabled, and limited English speaking people for over 28 years.

Free transportation is available to those who make a reservation by Friday, April 4. The bus will be part from Miami Lakes Government Center, 6601 Main Street, at 9 a.m.
