Goleman graduate to attend University of Florida

     Jannelle Quiros, a third generation Miami Laker, will attend the University of Florida in the fall. 

     She was admitted into the Honors College program and plans to study architecture and sustainability.

     Quiros, 19, graduated summa cum laude from Barbara Goleman Senior High School, where she also received the 2023-2024 Outstanding Senior Award.

    While maintaining a 4.0 unweighted GPA in high school, Jannelle earned an Associate degree in Arts from Miami Dade College

     Her extracurricular activities included president, Medical Leaders of Tomorrow Club; secretary, Student Government; historian, Anglers Club; volleyball team; National Honor Society; Spanish Honor Society; Key Club and Bionomics Club.

     Quiros won Bright Futures, National Merit and Benacquisto scholarships. 

     She is a daughter of Nestor and Mayte Quiros, whose other children are daughters Jessica, Xamantha and a son, Javier.
