On April 2, the Key Club of Barbara Goleman Senior High School hosted its annual Gator Idol singing competition to raise awareness and to collect donations for the March of Dimes. The March of Dimes is an organization that helps mothers have healthy pregnancies and helps babies have happy and healthy lives.

Students performed in front of a live audience and were judged on their overall performance by three judges: Patricia Hachar from Think Famous Productions, Javid Mortazavi from March of Dimes, and Martha Albrecht from the Kiwanis of Greater Miami Lakes.

At the end of the show, the top three singers were announced and awarded with trophies. Alexandria Canto took home the honor of first place, Tanis Perez took second place, and Kehvani Hicks won third place. Through ticket sales, donations, concession stand profits, and the club’s own generous donations, the club raised over $1000 for The March of Dimes.
