Local golfers and philanthropists alike participated in the Annual Children In Action (NCA) charity golf tournament held at the Miami Shores Country Club on Friday, February 28.

“The NCA is all about helping local children as well as those in neighboring countries who need it most," said event organizer and NCA president Zoe Prieto. "We are grateful that this year’s sponsors, Hialeah Park, Hialeah Gardens Mayor Yioset De La Cruz, State Representative Eddy Gonzalez, the Hialeah Chamber of Commerce and Industries, and Vital Graphics have all really stepped up and helped make a difference."

Children In Action’s focus is to help needy locals as well as those in the Caribbean and Central America with clothing, goods and food. The NCA has helped children not only locally but from different parts of the hemisphere, including the Dominican Republic, Haiti and Nicaragua.
