Hialeah Miami Lakes Senior High’s chorus singers were selected among school chorus groups across the nation and Canada to perform at Walt Disney World’s Candlelight Processional. The singers will be performing for two shows during the holiday season on Saturday, December 5, alongside celebrity narrator, Whoopi Goldberg.
The Candlelight Processional is a Walt Disney World tradition taking place at EPCOT’s World Showcase where a mass choir and 50 piece orchestra interwoven with the biblical story of a savior born to a virgin in Bethlehem, narrated by a guest celebrity narrator. The processional takes place from November 27 to December 30.
Fine Arts Department chair Shenita Hunt is excited to see her students’ hard work pay off.
“I’m so glad I was able to put in the work to get them prepared for this year’s honor,” said Hunt.
