Hook a Kid on Golf promises to be a “hole-in-one” for Miami Lakes residents. The six-week program is aimed at introducing the basics of golf while teaching the etiquette of the game to children between 7-12 years of age.

The program is set to start in late October at Shula’s Golf Club and requires a one-time $20 registration fee.

Hook a Kid on Golf, a program introduced by the National Alliance for Youth Sports, strives to provide communities with a comprehensive youth golf program that eliminates all the obstacles that discourage youngsters from learning and continuing to play golf, while instilling in them an understanding of golf’s rules, etiquette and history.
