JetStream Federal Credit Union employees benefited two local charitable organizations during the holiday season.
JetStream collected donations to benefit the disadvantaged children and youth of His House Children’s Home during the season. In their continuing efforts to help His House families, employees donated a variety of gift cards, toys, toiletries, clothing, baby items and food. Established in 1989, the organization provides residential care for abused, neglected, and drug-exposed children in a home-like setting.
“I want to thank our employees for their generosity to the children and families of His House. Through their efforts we hope we made a difference in a child’s life this holiday,” said JetStream CEO Keanne Kucey.
For the past five years, JetStream has partnered with The EDGE for their annual toy drive. All JetStream branch locations in South Florida were collection sites for the toy drive.
The EDGE (The Early Development of Global Education) Charitable Foundation delivers over 1,000 toys annually to migrant families, children victimized by domestic abuse and children victimized by human trafficking in South Florida.
“Our toy drive is one of our biggest and most unique events annually because of the children we serve right here in South Florida,” said founder Priya Nembhard.
“This is our fifth year partnering with The EDGE and it is great to see our employees contribute to this great cause,” said Mio Serrano, vice president of Human Resources.
