The Early Development of Global Education Charitable Foundation (EDGE) presented an award to JetStream Federal Credit Union in honor of the credit union/s charitable contributions and active partnership throughout the year.
On hand to accept the award was JetStream’s vice president of Human Resources Miozoti Serrano.
JetStream as recognized on behalf of its continued participation and support for the Edge’s charitable causes, both locally and internationally, which included the donation of dozens of shoes within the low-income communities in Puerto Rico, coordinating a collection of toys for the children of migrant workers in South Florida, and sponsoring the annual Casino Night to help the fight against human trafficking.
“JetStream recognizes the importance of partnering with the Edge because of what they represent. Their vision to encourage children to take care of the planet while also encouraging them to give back to the less fortunate is directly in line with JetStream’s values,” Serrano said.
In other news, JetStream announced that their entire Call Center has earned the designation of Community Development Certified Financial Counselor. The designation better equips the call center with the tools necessary to guide members facing financial difficulties locally and in Puerto Rico.
The designation is certified by the National Cooperative Business Association through its Community Development Initiative. It is an essential tool for organizations serving moderate and low income populations, and an effective way for financial institutions to better serve their members when they face difficult times.
The JetStream Call Center team includes manager Maribel Alvarez, assistant manager Ecaterina Ghita, and representatives Mildred Torres and Maria Canales.
