Miami Lakes and its Cultural Affairs Committee will host the 13th annual Fourth of July Concert and Fireworks Show on Monday, July 4, beginning at 6 p.m. at Miami Lakes Picnic Park West, 15151 N.W. 82 Avenue.
The fun-filled event for the whole family will feature live entertainment, food trucks, and more, following by a spectacular fireworks presentation. Admission and parking are free.
Sponsored by The Graham Companies, this year’s concert features South Florida’s own R&B music sensation Pocket Change. Founded by Eddie Carmichael in 1994, the group has performed across the U.S. and headlined at Music and Food festivals throughout Florida.
Entertainment will also include performances by the Town’s community Ballet, Jazz and Martial Arts recreation programs beginning at 6 p.m.
Miami-Dade County Commissioner Esteban Bovo Jr. is sponsoring the photo booth filled with fun props and giveaways.
Attendees are reminded to bring blankets and chairs. Fireworks, sparklers and pets are not permitted in Picnic Park West or on the Town’s shuttle buses.
Parking around the Picnic Park West perimeter is limited and attendees are encouraged to walk or bike to the Park. The Town is also providing free shuttle service from two locations beginning at 5:30 p.m.:
Town Hall, 6601 Main Street, shuttle service will run every 20 minutes until 8 p.m.;
Royal Oaks Park, 16500 N.W. 87 Avenue, shuttle service will run every 10 minutes until 8 p.m.
Shuttle service will resume at the conclusion of the fireworks show. The last bus will depart Picnic Park West at 11 p.m.
