Lindsay Selmer, daughter of Ellen Selmer, vice president of Human Resources for The Graham Companies in Miami Lakes, was honored in May with the “Bob Demaree Coach of the Year” award.
Selmer, who graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2013 with a major in Exceptional Education, teaches at East River High School in Orlando, and just completed her second year as the varsity softball coach.
She took the East River High team to District finals both years and won her first District championship this year.
The award is nominated by the high school varsity coaches in the metro area east of Orlando.
