Former Miami Lakes resident Lissette Campos-Perez received two Emmy Awards during the Suncoast Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Emmy Awards ceremony held November 23 at the Westin Diplomat Resort in Hollywood.
Campos-Perez received an Emmy in the Community Affairs category for her 2012 prime time special “Taking Action Against Domestic Violence.”
The second award was the prestigious “Silver Circle Emmy” which honored Campos-Perez for her distinction in the television industry within the Suncoast Region of Florida, Louisiana, Alabama and Puerto Rico and for the quality of her contributions to television over a period of 25 years or more.
She is the daughter of longtime Miami Lakes residents Sergio and Miriam Campos.
