The summer camps will run Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., for children between the ages of 5 and 15. Both organizations also offer after school care from 2 to 6 p.m. during the school year with transportation available.

Miami Lakes will also offer an insight into the world of aviation through Operation SAFEE Flight Academy during its summer camp program. The two-day academy will be offered to campers who participate in either of the town’s summer camps.
On June 28, campers will get a chance to hear from aviation professionals including air traffic controllers, pilots, certified flight instructors, avionics techs, and aircraft mechanics on career opportunities in the aviation field, and will also get a chance to try out a flight simulator.
