Madison Fernandez, a Miami Lakes resident and second grade student at Immaculate Conception Catholic School, recently celebrated her 8th birthday by asking all who attended her birthday party to bring clothing donations, in lieu of birthday gifts, for Sunil's Orphanage in India. All of Madison's peers and their siblings were invited to the party which took place at Monsignor Edward Pace High School.

Apart from the second graders at Immaculate, Miami Lakes residents also attended and several businesses participated including The Invitation Stand, Vicky Bakery, Domenico's, Chick-Fil-A, Universal Party Management and Bambini Soiree. Bambini Soiree took it upon themselves to also donate 40 pajamas to the orphanage.

The event was a  success and Madison has since organized the clothing into sizes and labeled each child's name on the items designated for a personal touch. She has enjoyed this experience and hopes to continue giving back to those less fortunate.
