Main Street Players present UNBROKEN spoken word May 20-21

Community Friday, May 20, 2016

In association with Conundrum Stages, Inc., The Main Street Players will present UNBROKEN, two evenings of spoken word poetry and performance by “Chaos Theory” at the Main Street Playhouse on Friday and Saturday, May 20-21.

Conundrum Stages will present the prominent poetic ensemble in an exciting stand-alone showcase of material that the group has composed since its inception in 2008. “Chaos Theory” is comprised of three of South Florida’s most dynamic spoken word artists including Reagan Mendoza, Flow Diva and Mori Taiye. They have performed at the Broward Center, at Art Basel and have been nominated for a 2016 Florida Entertainment Legend Award. Individually and collectively, they perform nationally, from university stages to packed poetry clubs.

The poets each come from different ethnic, socioeconomic, educational and cultural backgrounds and have found a way to use all of their life experiences to create a brand of poetry that is honest, bold, vibrant and soulful. Both shows start at 8 p.m. Tickets can be purchased on line for $10 at www.conundrumstages.net or at the door for $15.
