Applications are due by March 30 for the Miami Lakes Future Leaders Scholarship presented by The Graham Companies.
Two $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to graduating high school seniors who are residents of the Town of Miami Lakes.
The town’s Education Advisory Board, along with a representative from The Graham Companies, will announce the scholarship recipients at the Town Council meeting on Tuesday, May 5.
Interested seniors must submit a typed essay (750 words maximum) in his/her own words how they aspire to make the world a better place. A cover sheet must accompany the essay, along with an official sealed high school transcript, and three letters of recommendation from non-relatives, one of which must be from a teacher or school official.
