Miami Dade College guard Darius Williams is just a freshman but he’s making an upperclassman impact on the basketball court. Late last month, Williams was named NJCAA Region 8 Men’s Basketball Player of the Week and Division One Men’s Basketball Player of the Week following stellar performances in two back-to-back games. On January 12, Williams led the Sharks with 31 points on 11-of-19 shooting from the field and 4-of-8 from three-point range, as his team defeated nationally sixth ranked Palm Beach State College, 77-65. Four days later, Williams scored 35 points, as the Sharks defeated ASA College 84-68.
