More than 200 youth flag football players from the Miami Lakes Optimist Club recently participated in the Miami Dolphins’ Junior Training Camp at Royal Oaks Park, where they learned a series of interactive drills designed to help improve their agility, throwing and catching skills.

The Miami Dolphins hosted the event, a part of the Dolphins Youth Programs which emphasizes the importance of education, physical fitness and positive choice for kids in a safe and fun environment.

Ex-Dolphin player Deon Dyer spoke with parents on the significance of keeping their kids fit, and he signed autographs for the training camp’s participants.

The Miami Dolphins Youth Programs’ vision is to prepare the next generation of leaders in staying physically active through the Junior Training Camps (JTC), Youth Football Clinics and Youth Football Camps."
