Miami Lakes Bar Association offers scholarship

High school seniors are invited to apply for a $1,000 scholarship from the Miami Lakes Bar Association. Seniors have until Feb. 4 to submit copies of their last report card, their student identification card and a personal statement.

The personal statement should be a paragraph in length about why they should win the scholarship.

Applicants may submit their paperwork to the Law Offices of Stephanie A. Cruz by emailing scruz@scruzlaw.com.

The winner will be announced on Feb. 6 at the officer’s installation ceremony for the Miami Lakes Bar Association and the winner will need to be present at the event.

The Miami Lakes Bar Association will install their new officers on Feb. 6 at 7 p.m. at Miami Lakes Town Hall, 6601 Main St.
