Miami Lakes Culinary Bike Tour brings riders, restaurants together

   Cyclists -- 187 strong -- took to the streets of Miami Lakes for the annual Culinary Bike Tour on Sept. 9. The five-mile ride allowed bikers to visit restaurants that served small bites and drinks, all for a $30 ticket. This year’s ride raised $5,820, proceeds that will pay for the town’s costs to produce the event, including the police escort. Bike305 also helped with rider safety. For the first time, a 14-seat party bike with music and changing lights, for a $45 ticket, led the caravan. Restaurants visited this year were NQC; Domenico’s Italian Restaurant; Vicky Bakery; BurgerFi; La Diosa Taqueria; Dr. Limon Ceviche Bar; Cruzeiro Brazilian Steakhouse; Diced; Acai Express; Chela’s Cocteleria; La Strega Cucina Italiana & Steakhouse and Island Fin Poke. Photos by Alexandra Herrera.
