Miami Lakes K-8 Center performance groups became stars of their own Disney show on May 1 when they entertained guests at Waterside Stage in Downtown Disney at the Walt Disney World Resort as part of the Disney Performing Arts Program.
The chorus, under the direction of Sara Cino, performed many popular rock songs such as Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” and Starship’s “We Built This City.” This was the premier performance for the chorus at the Disney Performing Arts Program.
The cheerleaders and salsa dancers, directed by Angel Hernandez, Naomi Maceo, Mario Ortiz and Pey-Guy Marra, performed choreographed dances to upbeat music that had the whole crowd at the unique entertainment area dancing along.
This was the fourth visit for the Miami Lakes dance troupe to Downtown Disney.
