Miami Lakes Congregational Church is hosting special service times during the Advent season. On Saturday, December 5 at noon, the church’s UCC Women’s Christmas Luncheon will take place at the home of Gail Ballweg. On Sunday, December 6, at 10:30 a.m. the Second Sunday of Advent Worship is scheduled with the theme being “peace.” Communion and reaffirmation of baptismal vows will also take place.
Continuing on Wednesday December 9 at 7 p.m. the church will hold a community conversation on human trafficking. The Third Sunday of Advent Worship with the theme being “love” will take place on Sunday, December 13 at 10:30 a.m. That same afternoon at 5:30 p.m. is the church’s concert series. The following day, Monday, December 14 at 7:30 p.m. is a Blue Christmas service.
On the week of Christmas, Sunday, December 20, the Fourth Sunday of Advent Worship will take place with the theme being “joy.” On Christmas Eve a Family Christmas Eve Worship will take place at 5 p.m. and a Sacred Christmas Eve Worship Communion/Candle Lighting.
