Community Thursday, September 14, 2017

Attention parents! If you want to offer more to your son than just sports and school, and do you want to get him outdoors, exploring the wild – fish, shoot, camp, hike and learn in a friendly and supportive environment, you should consider Cub Scouts.

For nearly 50 years, Cub Scout Pack 660 of Miami Lakes has been molding boys into quality young men and bringing like minded families together. Scouting teaches boys to be Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thirty, Brave, Clean and Reverent. These are the traits parents want in all their son which foster self confidence and character.
“Everyone who tries Scouting for their son loves it,” said Cub Master Sean Schwinghammer, “and the reason is simple, it is fun and rewarding and fosters the best in kids.”

Pace 660 will have its “Join Scout Night” event at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, September 20, at Miami Lakes K-8 Center, 14250 N.W. 67 Avenue. Boys are welcome, no matter their home school.
Cub Scouting is available for all boys from First through Fifth grades.

Pack 660 meets every Thursday from 7 to 8 p.m. at its chartered organization, Miami Lakes United Methodist Church at the corner of Miami Lakes Drive and N.W. 67 Avenue.
