M.L. Library Branch offers programs during December

Miami Lakes Branch Library announced the following programs are available for the public during November:

For Children and Families:

Fun Stories for the Family – Stories on demand for ages 5 and up at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, November 18.

Reading Ready Preschool Storytime – Stories, songs and activities for toddlers and their caregivers. For ages 18 months to 3 years old at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 19.

Reading Ready Toddler Storytime – Stories, songs and activities for toddlers and their caregivers. For ages 18 months to 3 years old at 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 19.

For Teens:

Teen Club – Teens meet to play video games, watch anime, draw or discuss books. Movie screening either San Andreas or Jurassic World  at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, November 24. 

International Game Day at the Library – Celebrate the 8th annual International Games Day with board games, DS battles, the ancient game of Go, balloon tosses and much more. Meets at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 21.

For Adults: 

Go Club of Miami Lakes – Now everyone can embark on a journey and uncover the ancient game of strategy, attack and defense, the Game of Go. Meets from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturdays, November 21 and 28.

USCIS Information Table – United States Citizenship and Immigration Service staff will provide information, materials, and answer general questions regarding the citizenship process at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, November 30.

Navigating the Affordable Care Act: Health Insurance Information and Enrollment – Have questions about the Affordable Care Act, enrolling in new health insurance coverage, or simply renewing? Visit with Crystal Ochoa for answers and enrollment assistance, Mondays and Tuesdays at 6 p.m.

Miami Lakes Branch Library is located at 6699 Windmill Gate Road and is open Monday and Tuesday from noon to 8 p.m., and Wednesday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The branch is closed on Sundays. For more information, call 305-822-6520.
