Religious Tuesday, December 1, 2015

Miami Lakes Congregational Church is opening the Advent season by hosting two evening Community Conversations around two challenging realities in today’s everyday life – violence and human trafficking.

On Wednesday, December 2, the first Conversation was led by Miami Lakes Police Town Commander Major George Perez and focused on Violence. The discussion covered the forms violence takes, its root causes, how it is being addressed locally, and, what can the attendees do about it.

On Wednesday, December 9, the second Conversation will focus on Human Trafficking. The discussion will be led by Victor Williams, Special Agent/Program Director of Homeland Security Investigations.

The church is inviting the local community to attend the final Conversation. Miami Lakes Congregational Church is located at 6701 Miami Lakeway South across from Miami Lakes K-8 Center.
